Fine Art
Scott Bader is recognized as one of Hawaii’s leading watercolor artists. He is well known for his paintings of exotic plants, flowers, and landscapes.
The artist was born in Charleroi, Pennsylvania on May 25th, 1953. He was brought up in the environs of New York City, Washington D.C., and Michigan.
Mr. Bader has worked and traveled extensively in Europe and the Caribbean, and resided in Hawaii from 1978 to 1998.
Although highly skilled in a wide range of art mediums and genre, Mr. Bader has come to be chiefly known for his water colors of exotic plants, flowers, and landscapes. In these, few artists have surpassed his synthesis of rich color, fine detail and qualities of light, both subtle and dramatic. The intensity and scale of Mr. Bader's compositions have brought to the art of water color painting a grandeur more commonly associated with oil or acrylic painting, yet he has retained the transparent delicacy inherent in watercolors.
